Allison Cara Tolman is an American actress from America. She is best known for her role as Molly Solverson in the first season of the FX TV show Fargo. Career In 2014, Tolman starred in the premiere series of FX the black comedy crime show Fargo. Fargo is a re-imagining of the 1996 Coen brothers' film with the same name. The show stars veterans Bob Odenkirk, Martin Freeman, and Billy Bob Thornton. Tolman's performance in the role of Minnesota cop Molly Solverson was praised by Vanity Fair, who wrote: "She calmly and confidently took over the entire show". She won the Critics' Choice Television Award as Best Supporting Actress in a Film/Miniseries and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her role. In the following time, in the same year it was also that it was announced Tolman would have a two-episode guest appearance on The Mindy Project playing Abby Berman, a romance writer. In 2015, Tolman was as a character supporting Michael Dougherty's comedy film Krampus. Tolman declined several support roles, such as the ones that were played by wives, mothers and besties, after her debut on Fargo. Tolman wanted a different character. Tolman had a role on ABC in Downward Dog (based on Animal Media Group's web-series). The series was canceled after just one season. Tolman played in ABC's Emergence drama that debuted on the 24th of September, 2019, however it was canceled by ABC within a year, in May of 2020. despite Tolman posting on Twitter that the ratings were "pretty good". The actress was also an guest on the NBC show Good Girls. In 2021 she was a guest star as Alma Filcott in the second season of the drama show Why Women Kill, and was Natalie Green in The Facts of Life part of the third season of Live in Front of a Studio Audience.
